How to clean garbage disposal?

Many people dont give much importance to clean garbage disposal which ultimately ends in rottening smell of food and garbage disposal smells like sweage. If you see this issue with different angle then you will come to know that many people live under a myth. They think garbage disposal is design to cut the food particles and remove kitchen waste. But food particles often get trapped in groves and sides of garbage disposal. This provides perfect environment for the bacteria and mold to grow. Keep your garbage disposal clean. Clean once a week using following method

-Allocate a tilted brush(you will get in dollar store) to clean the sides fo garbage disposal.Every 3 days, add 3-4 tsp ajax or comet powder in garbage disposal. Turn on your disposal and hot water. Turn off both hot water and disposal. With the help of brush, start cleaning sides of your garbage disposal. Again start on your disposal and hot water. Let it run for a while.

- Once in week, add 4 tsp baking soda + 1 cup white vinegar on garbage disposal. The mixture will fizz and you will foam formation. After some secs start hot water. Start the disposal also. Turn off hot water and disposal after couple of mins.

To add some fragrance, you can add citrus fruits peels in disposal.
